Things to consider when buying property in Mexico …..
Once you have decided that you are ready to buy property in Mexico, there are several factors to take into consideration. Los Cabos offers a multitude of properties each being unique in its own way. I recommend that you explore various neighborhoods and communities, go out to restaurants and enjoy the surrounding amenities. Think about the things that are important to you … are you a golfer or surfer? Do you enjoy snorkeling or fishing? Are you a sunrise or sunset person?
Below are some simple questions to ask yourself to determine the perfect type of property for you:
- Are you planning on being a full time or part time resident?
- Are you looking to finance?
- Are you looking for an investment property or one with an established rental income?
- What are the amenities of the development that are offered to homeowners?
- What is the development recognized for?
- Is the developer offering pre-construction discounts or financing?
- Are there golf or tennis memberships included with the property?
- What are the annual homeowner association fees and what do they include?
- Are there building restrictions, known as C,C &R’s? Is there a time frame on building?
Today the buying process is much easier and better protected than in the past with more financing, title insurance and third party escrow companies available in Mexico.
